Travel RN – Pediatric Emergency Department (Nights)
Location: Syracuse, NY
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: 4/10/26
Shift: Nights
Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend and some holidays required
Unit: Pediatric Emergency Department
Position Details:
-
Night shift RN in a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department
-
Majority of experience must be in Pediatric ED
-
Adult ED experience is a plus, but candidates with only combined Adult/Peds ED experience will not be considered
-
Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center experience preferred
-
EPIC experience preferred
-
Must have strong triage skills and be formally triage trained
Qualifications:
-
Current New York State RN license
-
BLS certification (must be current or eligible for recertification)

Minimum of 2 years of recent Pediatric ED experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and acuity
-
Travelers must have experience in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers
-
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and clinical assessment skills
Duties:

Perform comprehensive pediatric emergency nursing care
-
Conduct accurate triage and rapid assessments in a high-acuity setting
-
Deliver safe, effective patient care with minimal orientation and supervision
