Travel RN – Pediatric Emergency Department (Nights)

Location: Syracuse, NY
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: 4/10/26
Shift: Nights
Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend and some holidays required

Unit: Pediatric Emergency Department

Position Details:

• Night shift RN in a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department

• Majority of experience must be in Pediatric ED

• Adult ED experience is a plus, but candidates with only combined Adult/Peds ED experience will not be considered

• Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center experience preferred

• EPIC experience preferred

• Must have strong triage skills and be formally triage trained

Qualifications:

• Current New York State RN license

• BLS certification (must be current or eligible for recertification)

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Pediatric ED experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and acuity

• Travelers must have experience in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and clinical assessment skills

Duties:

• Perform comprehensive pediatric emergency nursing care

• Conduct accurate triage and rapid assessments in a high-acuity setting

• Deliver safe, effective patient care with minimal orientation and supervision
