RN Endoscopy - Oklahoma City, OK

Job Summary

Provide nursing care under general supervision to patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, assisting physicians with exams and minor procedures, monitoring physiological data, and coordinating patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned group of patients and document responses to nursing interventions and physician orders.
  • Assist physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
  • Administer medications, regulate and monitor IV infusions and blood products.
  • Deliver competent patient care and communicate care plans to patients and families.
  • Inform patients and families about hospital procedures and make referrals as needed.
  • Delegate tasks to support staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule

  • 10-hour shifts
  • 40 hours per week
  • Plus on-call duties

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Oklahoma
  • Minimum 1 year of endoscopy experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Experience with moderate sedation
  • Experience in pre-operative and recovery care
