RN Perioperative Circulator - Pediatrics
Location
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Schedule
- Monday through Wednesday and every other Thursday, 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
Assignment Length
- 13 weeks
Role Summary
- Registered nurse responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures.
- Provides direct and indirect nursing care in the operating room and documents ongoing evaluation of care in the perioperative environment.
- Individualizes care based on patient health status, age level, and the procedure being performed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute operating room environment
- Pediatrics OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
- Pediatrics OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Perioperative experience
Required Skills
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Strong understanding of AORN Standards
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with coworkers
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Some computer skills
Preferred Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher from a board-approved program
Preferred Certification
- CNOR
