Location
- Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- 4x10 shifts
- Call on nights and weekends, approximately 8–10 shifts per month
- May need to work overtime
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma
- ARRT (RT)
- Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
- 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience
Experience / Skills
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
- Some computer skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team providing specialized care
- May require completion of orientation and ability to function independently in the assigned specialty area prior to being assigned to the position
Role Summary
- Provides nursing care in a specialty area under general supervision
- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients
- Documents patient responses and changes in physician orders
- Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatment
- Monitors patient data and intervenes when necessary
- Administers medication
- Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products
- Interacts with patients and families regarding the care plan and discharge
- Oversees treatment provided by technicians or other service providers
- Informs patients and families of hospital procedures
- Makes referrals regarding patient care needs
- Delegates tasks to support staff
