Description
CT Scan Technologist
Overview
- Specialty: CT scan technologist
- Location: Hackensack, New Jersey

- Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Contract length: 15 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in New Jersey
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- 1 year of CT Technologist experience
- High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from a Radiologic Technologist program
Preferred Experience
- 6 months of CT experience
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex CT procedures
- Review patient history and contrast questionnaires
- Administer contrast media as prescribed
- Verify exam appropriateness and clarify prescriptions when needed
- Obtain outside studies and coordinate exam availability for comparison
- Evaluate radiographs for proper identification and diagnostic value
- Prepare patients for scanning and provide instructions
- Perform venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance procedures
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions during procedures
- Work scheduled shifts, including holidays, weekends, overtime, and on-call assignments
- Lift up to 25 lbs, push/pull up to 50 lbs, and stand for at least 6 hours per day
