RN Surgery - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Job Details

  • Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 4x10 hour shifts (9:00 AM - 7:30 PM), flexible based on patient volumes
  • Call: Rotating call during weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed with regular staff
  • Floating: May be required to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience
  • Prior travel experience required
  • Experience with robotic surgery and scrub nurse duties is helpful
  • Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Wisconsin
  • Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
  • Completion of at least one travel assignment
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience with robotic surgery
  • Experience as a scrub nurse
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Additional Notes

  • Must complete required pre-hire and ongoing training modules and attestations
  • Specialty exams and competencies must be updated every 3 years or annually as specified
  • Onboarding includes health statements and physical exam documentation updated annually
  • Some optional checklists may be required by unit leadership after start

This position is ideal for experienced OR nurses with prior travel assignments who are comfortable with rotating shifts, call duties, and occasional floating within a regional area.

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
