Job Opportunity: RN - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Newton, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Schedule: 40 hours per week, 4 shifts of 10 hours each
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Credentials & Requirements

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid professional nursing license for Massachusetts (Primary Source Verification required; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted)
• BLS Certification (AHA preferred; Red Cross accepted)
• Fit Test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date (no onsite testing; must use specific form)
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30) with no exemptions
• TB test documentation within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test)
• MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
• Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date
• Criminal background checks including Massachusetts CORI, SSN trace, National Sex Offender Check, and Exclusion Checks (all must be current and updated as required)

Additional Health & Safety Requirements

• MGB NWH Self-Study Orientation & Attestation (mandatory before onboarding)
• Medication Exam with minimum 84% passing score
• Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation (if fit test required)
• Positive PPD requires negative chest X-ray documentation
• Tdap vaccine preferred (within 10 years)
• Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity strongly preferred
• TB Symptom Survey if positive PPD (optional but recommended)

Submission Requirements

• Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
• Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above in the skillset)
• Skills checklist specific to the role
• Candidate submission coversheet (current version)

Onboarding Requirements

• All required documents and attestations must be completed and uploaded prior to start
• Confirmation of Assignment/POI form required for initial assignment and any extensions
