Description
Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (Night Shift)
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Nights)
Schedule: Every other weekend and holidays
Job Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- Minimum 4 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
- Minimum 1 year or more of total travel nursing experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Required Licenses and Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Massachusetts (Primary Source Verification required within 30 days of start; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted; AHA preferred)
- Must pass MGB Medication Exam with at least 80% within the past year
Health and Safety Requirements
- N95 Fit Test completed within 365 days prior to start and updated annually (no exemptions allowed)
- Respirator Medical Clearance (RMC) Attestation completed prior to fit testing
- Documentation of TB screening within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test) and updated if there is a break >6 months
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity documentation (vaccines or blood test)
- Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start and updated if break >6 months
- Criminal Background Check within 45 days prior to start and updated if break >6 months (includes county and international residence/travel history)
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start and updated if break >6 months
- National Sex Offender Check within 30 days prior to start and updated annually
- Exclusion Checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start and annually
Submission Requirements
- Resume including last 7 years of work experience with city and state
- Two professional references within the last 4 years (minimum one supervisor or above in the skillset)
- Completed skills checklist within 1 year of submission
- Candidate submission coversheet (current version)
- Confirmation of Assignment/POI form upon acceptance and for any extensions
Additional Preferred/Optional
- Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity documentation preferred
- Tdap vaccination within 10 years preferred
- Positive PPD requires negative chest x-ray documentation (if applicable)
- Name change documentation if legal name differs from credential or profile
Note: No fit testing or health screenings can be done onsite; all must be completed prior to start date.
