Description
MICU RN
Overview
- 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU in a Level III Trauma Center
- Adult ICU assignment with Med Surg floating required
- 36-hour schedule with nights and every other weekend
- Floating is mostly to Medical/Surgical units, with ratios up to 1:4 or 1:5 when floated
- Rotating day shifts may be assigned when working days
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit experience
- MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- Telemetry competency
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of continuous work experience in one location, preferably a MICU
Unit Details
- Unit name: Level III Trauma Center
- Patient population includes adults with substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
- Attendings and residents are present in the ICU 24 hours/day
- Bed count: 20 beds
Schedule
- Shift: 19:00 - 07:30
- Nights and every other weekend
- Day positions may rotate between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a when needed

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful.
