Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU

Location: Howell, Michigan
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM


Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with specialty in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to provide direct patient care during night shifts. The role involves working every other or every third holiday.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Michigan
  • Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Health and Safety Requirements

  • Fit Test
  • 10 Panel Drug Screen (completed within 30 days of start, no THC)
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (including booster by Sept 2025) or approved declination/exemption (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
  • MMR (proof of 2 vaccinations or immunity titer)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series initiated prior to start
  • Influenza Vaccine (optional)
  • 2 Step PPD or IGRA TB test (with chest x-ray if positive, per state guidelines)
  • Varicella vaccination or immunity proof
  • Tdap vaccine (declination accepted if no pediatric interaction)
  • Physical/Health Statement confirming fitness to work (exam within last year)
  • Respirator Evaluation with physician signature (location-specific onsite completion may be required)

Professional and Compliance Requirements

  • Signed Code of Conduct, Conflict of Interest Disclosure, Confidentiality and Security Agreements
  • Criminal Background Check (federal, nationwide, county for last 7 years) with SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start
  • Education Verification (highest academic degree or diploma/GED)
  • EPLS and OIG Exclusion Reports dated within 30 days
  • Joint Commission CORE Exam within the last year
  • National Sex Offender Registry (NSO) check dated within 30 days (including statewide check for Michigan)
  • System Access Form completed and uploaded one week before start
  • Specialty Specific Competency Testing completed within the last year
  • Skills Checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors

Additional Notes

  • Resume, skills checklist (within one year), and two professional references are required for submission.
  • All required documents must be scanned and uploaded to the credentialing system prior to onboarding.
  • The position requires adherence to all health, safety, and professional standards as outlined.

This role is ideal for an experienced RN seeking a night shift position in a PCU setting with a commitment of approximately 3 months.
