Job Opportunity: RN Labor and Delivery

Location: Nantucket, Massachusetts
Facility: Nantucket Cottage Hospital (Mass General Brigham)
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• 36 hours per week, rotating shifts
• Experience with Epic electronic health records and postpartum care required
• Massachusetts RN license required
• Certifications required: BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Shared housing provided at no cost

Required Credentials and Compliance

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid Massachusetts RN license (no conditional licenses accepted)
• BLS certification (AHA preferred, Red Cross accepted)
• NRP certification (AHA preferred, Red Cross accepted)

Training & Checklists

• MGB FEMA ICS 100 Training (must be completed before onboarding)
• MGB Skills Checklist (required for submission)
• Candidate Submission Coversheet (required for submission)

Health & Immunizations

• Fit Test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date (no onsite testing available)
• MGB Color Vision test within 365 days
• MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30) with no exemptions
• TB test documentation within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test)
• Health Statement signed by a licensed provider within 365 days
• Optional but strongly preferred: Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity proof
• Optional: Tdap vaccine within 10 years

Background & Verification

• Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, including international searches if applicable
• Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start
• Social Security Number trace for past 7 years
• National Sex Offender Registry check within 30 days prior to start
• Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start
• Education verification of highest degree achieved
• Two recent professional references (minimum one supervisor or above)
• Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state

Additional Requirements

• MGB Nantucket Housing Agreement (required if staying in provided housing)
• Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form upon acceptance and for any extensions
• Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation (if fit test required)

This position is ideal for RNs with labor and delivery experience who meet Massachusetts licensing and certification requirements and are comfortable with rotating shifts in a community hospital setting. The assignment offers housing support and requires compliance with comprehensive credentialing and health standards.
