Location: Saint Joseph, Missouri

Job Details
- Unit: 2 PCU/Telemetry
- Shift: 3x12 hour day shifts
- Float: Required
- Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend (8 weekend shifts per contract)
- Scheduling: Self-schedule
- Patient Ratios: 1:5
- Experience: Minimum 1 year required
- Education: BSN preferred
- Licensure: Pending license accepted but must be active prior to start
- Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Unit Description
Specialized treatment for patients with serious, complex health conditions requiring long-term acute care, including:
- Respiratory failure
- Osteomyelitis
- Complex wound care
- Hyperoxygenation therapy
- Acute kidney injury
- Post-stroke treatment

Required Certifications & Competencies
- ACLS: AHA only (RQI acceptable)
- BLS: AHA (RQI acceptable) or ARC (must state "Basic Life Support")
- NIH Stroke Certification (NIHSS): Required annually for acute hospital RNs
- TNCC: Required for Emergency Department RNs prior to start; ICU only if assignment exceeds 1 year
- Tech Cert Verification: Primary source verification within 30 days of start
- State License Verification: Primary source verification within 30 days of start
- NURSYS Verification: Required
- IV Certification: Required for LPNs (must be valid in Missouri)
- Pass/Fail Testing: Basic Dysrhythmia exam required; minimum 84% to pass; ICU unit has one attempt only
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute): Preferred for first contract; required if extending; advanced CPI for ED and Mental Health
- Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Required as applicable
- Competency Exam: Required as applicable
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam: Required for acute hospital RNs and LPNs; must be dated within 1 year of start
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam: Physician statement within last 12 months (not annually required)
- TB Screening: Negative PPD, Q-Gold, or T-SPOT within 1 year; if positive, chest x-ray within 6 months and annual TB questionnaire
- MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines, positive titer, or declination accepted; if no proof, first vaccine required prior to start, second vaccine can be pending
- Hepatitis B: Proof of vaccination series, titer, or declination; if no proof, first vaccine required prior to start, subsequent doses can be pending
- Varicella: 2 vaccines, positive titer, or declination; if no proof, first vaccine required prior to start, second vaccine can be pending
- Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season or agency-approved medical/religious exemption; deadline December 10 annually; declinations not accepted; mask required if exempt
- Drug Testing: Required within 30 days of start; must include standard drug panels

- Background Check: Within 30 days of start; includes national criminal, state, county searches (10 years), SSN trace, sex offender, FACIS Level 3
- EPLS/GSA/SAM: Required
- HHS/OIG: Required
- References: 2 professional references within 3 years
- Skills Checklist: Required
- Work History Verification: Verification of most recent employer
- Education Verification: Highest level of education verified with official transcript or diploma
- State Specific Search: Missouri EDL Search required within 30 days of start
