Description
Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Travel/Contract)
Location: Greenwich, Connecticut
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Role: CT Technologist
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Shift:
- Monday overnight: 7 PM - 8 AM
- Thursday and Friday day/evening: 9 AM - 10 PM
- Experience Required:
- At least 1 year hospital experience, especially overnight shifts
- Experience with Siemens equipment preferred
- Licensing: CT license required

Required Background Checks & Verifications
- 7-year criminal background check (updated annually) including SSN trace, counties lived/worked, statewide, national sex offender, national criminal, federal extended, education verification
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
- HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
- Foreign equivalency education evaluation (for internationally educated candidates)
- Transcript and diploma verification (official transcripts required if education verification cannot be completed)
- Verification of highest level of education
Required Certifications
- CT Technologist License: Must apply for CT license within 72 hours of start and provide proof
- Basic Life Support (BLS): AHA or ARC only
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS): AHA or ARC only (check unit requirements)
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (e.g., PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM) — verify with unit description
Competency Requirements
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (must pass with 85%) within 12 months of start
- Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates on/after 8/2/2024; must score 80% or higher)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for telemetry, MS/Tele, ER, and all ICU units (not required for Neuro ICU, SICU, NICU)
Facility-Specific Training & Documents (may be required)
- Compliance checklists and various education modules (e.g., Stroke Education, CLABSI Prevention, Pressure Injury Prevention, Language Services, CAUTI Education, Patient Transportation with Oxygen, Suicide Risk Assessment, Pyxis ES MedStation, Baxter Pump Interoperability, Patient Bedside Rounding, Ventricular Assist Device Awareness, Blood Administration, New Employee Orientation, 21st Century Cures Act, ED Handbook, eCart Training, Chaperone Policy Training)
- Some trainings are not required for Greenwich location but may be required for other campuses
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start, updated annually (3M N95 preferred)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination preferred for certain specialties (not required)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray documentation (various acceptable tests)
- Annual TB questionnaire
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination with boosters as needed
- Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination or declination within 1 year of start
- Varicella immunity or vaccination with boosters as needed
- 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (rapid accepted)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (9/1 - 3/31)
- COVID vaccination series preferred
Employment History & Documentation
- 7-year work history with no gaps greater than 90 days
- Verification of last 7 years of employment (attestations not accepted)
- Skills checklist within 12 months of start
- Attestation of prior radiation exposure required for CT Tech and other related roles
This position is ideal for CT Technologists with hospital experience, especially those comfortable with overnight shifts and Siemens equipment, seeking a travel/contract opportunity in a Magnet and Teaching hospital setting.
