Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology (CT & XRAY) - Travel/Contract

Location: Corning, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM, Wednesday to Friday (Wed-Fri block required)
On-Call: Yes

Required Experience & Certifications

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (CT & XRAY)
• Years of Experience Required: 1 year in each specialty (CT and XRAY)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
• Certifications Required:

  • ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (R)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • New York State License (required)
• Preferred Certifications:

  • ARRT CT
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

Job Responsibilities

• Perform CT and X-ray imaging within scope to meet facility needs
• Work scheduled night shifts Wednesday through Friday
• Participate in on-call duties as required

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal background check (updated annually)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 1 year of start
  • Education verification (high school or college level, certificates not accepted)
• Health Requirements:

  • Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by a licensed provider
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (QGold/TSpot preferred) within 90 days
  • Fit mask (respirator fit test) within 1 year, updated annually
  • Drug screening (9-panel) within 90 days of start
  • Required vaccinations or proof of immunity:

    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (series, declination, or positive titer)
    • Varicella
    • Flu vaccine or approved exemption during flu season
    • COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses required; booster not required)
• Training & Competencies:

  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam if applicable
  • Harassment prevention training certificate (New York, annual)
  • Facility-specific training modules including HIPAA, DEI, infection control, OSHA, safety, sexual harassment, and SOGI caregiver training
• Other Documentation:

  • Photo for badge (specific guidelines apply)
  • Confidentiality agreement and job description review/signature prior to start
  • References: 2 professional references required
  • Employment application required
  • Unit-specific skills checklist (updated annually)

Additional Notes

• Pending state licenses are not accepted
• No floating to sister facilities
• Must comply with facility personal appearance policy
• EPIC test out process applies for RNs (not applicable here but noted for awareness)
• Respirator clearance via RespSafety questionnaire required prior to start

This position is suitable for healthcare professionals with at least 1 year of experience in CT and X-ray imaging, holding the necessary certifications and licenses, and willing to work night shifts midweek with on-call responsibilities. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
