Job Details
- Schedule: Weekend Block Days (Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon)
- Float Requirement: Must float between Progress West and St. Peters facilities as needed
- Average Daily Census: 16 patients
- Patient Ratio: 1:4-6
- Charting System: EPIC (experience required)
- Required Certifications: NIH Stroke Certification, ACLS, BCLS
- Experience: Minimum 2 years required
- Travelers: First-time travelers accepted

- Orientation: Some initial orientation occurs on weekdays due to limited weekend classes

Required Credentials & Compliance
- Identification: Government-issued ID required
- Background Checks:
- Criminal background check within 6 months (7-year search including statewide, nationwide, sex offender, and international if applicable)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG quarterly checks
- Fingerprinting required for assignments involving Illinois long-term care or rehab units
- Education Verification: Highest nursing education must be verified before start
- State-Specific Checks: Missouri and Illinois state exclusion lists, highway patrol, family care safety registry as applicable
- Professional License: Primary source verification required; Missouri licenses verified via NURSYS
- IV Certification: Required for LPNs/LVNs in Missouri
- References: Two professional references required (supervisors preferred)

- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - per unit requirements
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - per unit requirements

- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) - if applicable
- MAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior) - if applicable
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) - if applicable
- NIH Stroke Certification (annual update required)
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask testing (N95) with specific models required; onsite testing available if needed
- Tdap vaccine or declination (expires every 10 years)
- TB testing: Two negative PPDs or T-Spot/Q-Gold within 1 year; yearly TB questionnaire required
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer, vaccination, or medical exemption required; some units do not allow exemptions
- Drug testing within 1 year, must include specific panels and be valid throughout assignment
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (09/30 - 04/01)

- Candidates must be prepared for some orientation on weekdays.
- Free parking is provided.
- The unit accepts first-time travel nurses.
- Floating between facilities is mandatory.
This position is ideal for experienced Telemetry RNs with EPIC experience and required certifications, looking for a weekend block schedule in a short-term acute care setting with a diverse adult and geriatric patient population.
