Location: New York, NY

Job Description
- Position: Overnight CT Technologist with X-Ray certification
- Start Date: February 2, 2026
- Work Schedule:
- Training: First 2 weeks, Tuesday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 6 PM
- Regular Shift: Monday to Friday, Midnight to 8:30 AM (30-minute lunch)
- Setting: Orthopedic hospital with low-volume, steady-paced orthopedic imaging
- Caseload: Up to 20 patients per shift (may be fewer)
- Patient Age Groups: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Work Independently due to low volume
- May rotate across multiple departments or private sector locations
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology/Cardiology specialty
- IV Certification (mandatory)
- ARRT R & ARRT CT certifications
- New York State License (Radiology)
- Experience with Siemens equipment preferred
- Proficiency in performing X-rays and CT scans
- Comfortable working night shifts
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or move patients and equipment over 150 pounds (with or without assistive devices)
- Unit accepts first-time travelers (no prior travel experience required)
Skills & Procedure Experience
- Work Settings: Outpatient, Inpatient, ER, Adult ICU
- General Skills: Portable imaging
- X-ray Procedures: Extremities, Spine/Pelvis, Head, Chest/Thorax, Musculoskeletal, Lower and Upper Extremities
- CT Procedures: Abdomen, Pelvis, Head/Neck, Chest, Spine, Musculoskeletal, Brain Perfusion, CT Angiography (CTAs), Multiplanar Reconstruction
- Epic system experience preferred
Certifications & Licenses Required
- IV Certification (required)
- ARRT CT & R certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
- New York State Radiology License (hard copy with green border, signed)
- Background checks including criminal, social security trace, and state-specific searches
- Education verification (highest level completed)
- Drug screening (Aya standard 9-panel within 1 year)
- Fit mask test (N95) within 1 year, updated annually
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella titers with appropriate vaccinations if needed
- Hepatitis B positive titer or declination
- Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption by November 1
Compliance & Training Requirements
- Completion of required background checks and verifications within 30 days of start
- Completion of facility-specific documents including:
- Privacy, Information Security & Confidentiality Agreement
- Drug-Free Workplace Policy
- Code of Conduct
- Quality, Regulatory, and Safety Practices
- New Beginnings Packet (Staff Handbook and Code of Conduct Policies)
- Photo for badge (color, plain background, recent) within 72 hours of contract signing
- Completion of required competency exams and training modules on Relias, including:
- Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam
- Color Blind Testing (100% score required)
- Unit-specific Competency Exam
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (if applicable)
- Core Parts I, II, III and OSHA Mandatory training (not required for allied/tech staff)
- New York Harassment Prevention Training (annual)
- References: Two manager/supervisor references required (charge nurse references generally not accepted)
- Employment application and work history verification (7 years)

- Must be comfortable working independently during overnight shifts
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
