Job Opportunity: Float Pool Med/Surg Telemetry RN

Job Description
- Float Pool RN position requiring willingness to float to 8 different units within the hospital.
- Shifts: Days, Evenings, Nights with rotation every other week (EOW), 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, managing cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips every 4 hours.
- Patient population includes ED border patients, acute mental health medication nursing, and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients.
- Units range from 8 to 41 beds, total hospital bed count 371.
- Clinician to patient ratio:
- Days & Evenings: up to 5:1
- Nights: up to 6:1
- EMR system used: EPIC.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience required.
- Telemetry monitoring skills including measuring intervals and interpreting strips.
- Experience with TR Band and ability to perform cardiac drips and read telemetry strips.
Licensure & Certifications
- Current Massachusetts RN License required (no conditional licenses accepted).
- AHA BLS certification required (only AHA accepted for this facility).
- ACLS certification preferred but not required.
Additional Requirements & Credentials
- Fit Test (N95 respirator) within 365 days of start date, updated annually.
- Medication Exam: 80% passing score required within 365 days.
- Dysrhythmia Exam: 80% passing score required.
- MMR vaccination or proof of immunity required.
- Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions allowed.
- TB test documentation within 3 months of start date, updated if break >6 months.
- Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date.
- Criminal background checks including Massachusetts CORI, SSN trace, National Sex Offender Check, and Exclusion Checks required.
- Documentation of education verification and references required.
- Skills checklist and candidate submission coversheet required for submission.

- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
- Must be willing to float across multiple units and work varied shifts.
This position is ideal for experienced telemetry RNs comfortable with acute care, cardiac monitoring, and flexible floating assignments.
