Job Opportunity: RN ICU - Night Shift (Ellison 4 SICU)
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
- 12-hour night shifts
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required (higher experience requirement confirmed)
- Skilled in care of critically ill patients requiring:
- Mechanical ventilation
- Titration of vasoactive and sedative medications
- Management of central and arterial lines
- Complex wound and drain care
- Experience with EPIC documentation system required
- Must hold an active RN license in Massachusetts
Required Certifications & Licenses
- RN License: Valid Massachusetts RN license (no conditional licenses accepted)
- BLS Certification: AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted (AHA preferred)
- N95 Fit Test: Completed within 365 days prior to start and updated annually (no onsite fit testing)
- MGB Medication Exam: 80% passing score within 365 days
- Immunizations:
- MMR: Documentation of vaccines or proof of immunity required
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions allowed
- TB Test: Documentation of negative TB skin test or blood test within 3 months of start date
- Hepatitis B: Strongly preferred (vaccination record or proof of immunity)
- Tdap: Preferred, vaccine within last 10 years
- Health Statement: Physician statement signed within 365 days of start date
- Respirator Medical Clearance (RMC) Attestation: Required if fit test is needed
Background & Screening Requirements
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, including international searches if applicable
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start
- National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start and annually
- Exclusion checks against OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid lists within 30 days prior to start and annually
- Social Security Number trace covering past 7 years
- Verification of highest education level achieved
Documentation & Submission Requirements
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
- Two recent professional references (minimum one supervisor or above)
- Skills checklist and candidate submission coversheet required for submission
- Confirmation of assignment/POI form required upon acceptance and for extensions

- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
- Must be able to comply with all credentialing and onboarding requirements prior to start date
- No religious or medical exemptions allowed for required vaccines and fit testing
