Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele Float)

Location: Saint Joseph, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour night shifts (1900-0730)
  • Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Registered Nurse)
  • Education: BSN preferred
  • Certifications Required:
    • RN State License and/or Compact State Licensure (pending license acceptable but must be in hand prior to start)
    • BCLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • Charting System: EPIC
  • Parking: Free

  • More than 60 hospital and area clinics offering urgent, primary, specialty, and emergency care

Required Certifications & Training

  • ACLS: AHA only (RQI acceptable)
  • BLS: AHA (RQI acceptable) or ARC (must state "Basic Life Support")
  • PALS: AHA only (RQI acceptable)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course): Required for Emergency Department RNs prior to start; ICU RNs only if assignment exceeds 1 year
  • NIH Stroke Certification: Required annually for Acute Hospital RN/LPN/LVN in specified units
  • Pass/Fail Testing: Basic Dysrhythmia exam required for all RNs and LPN/LVNs; must score 84% or higher; ICU unit has a one-attempt policy
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute): Required for Emergency Department and Mental Health RN/LPNs; preferred for first contract, required if extending
  • Competency Exams: Medication Test/Pharmacology, Competency Exam, Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam as applicable

  • Education Verification: Official transcript or diploma/degree required
  • State Specific Search: Missouri EDL Search within 30 days of start
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement: Required annually
  • Facility Specific Documents: Confidentiality Agreement, Code of Conduct, Arrhythmia Study Guide, Demographic Form, Agency Nurse Orientation Quiz (must score 84% or higher)

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical Exam: Physician statement within last 12 months (not required annually)
  • Fit Mask: Fit testing completed onsite at orientation
  • TB Screening: Negative TB test (PPD, Q-Gold, or T-SPOT) within 1 year, updated annually; if positive, chest x-ray within 6 months and annual TB questionnaire required
  • Vaccinations:
    • Rubeola (Measles): 2 MMR vaccines, positive titer, or declination
    • Mumps: 2 MMR vaccines, positive titer, or declination
    • Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines, positive titer, or declination
    • Hepatitis B: Proof of vaccination series, titer, or declination
    • Varicella: 2 vaccines, positive titer, or declination
  • Drug Testing: Drug screen within 30 days of start (not required annually) covering multiple substances
  • Flu Vaccine: Required for 2025-26 flu season or agency-approved medical/religious exemption; declinations not accepted; mask required if exempt
