Job Details

• Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Scheduling: Block scheduling accommodated, every other week (EOW)
• Patient Ratios: 1:5
• Unit: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele)
• Scrubs: Any matching, solid color

Required Qualifications

• License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Missouri
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only (RQI acceptable)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only (RQI acceptable)
• Preferred: EPIC electronic health record experience highly preferred
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required (1st time travelers accepted)

• Background Checks:

  • National Criminal Check
  • State and County Searches (10 years)

• Education Verification: Official transcript or diploma required
• State Specific: Missouri EDL Search within 30 days of start
• Primary Source Verifications: License and certifications must be verified within 30 days of start
• Testing:

  • Basic Dysrhythmia exam (EKG) with a passing score of 84% or higher; 2 attempts allowed (1 attempt for ICU)
  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Physical & Health:

  • Physical exam within last 12 months
  • Fit mask testing completed onsite
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with follow-up if positive)
  • Immunizations or proof of immunity/declination for:

    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B
    • Varicella
  • Seasonal flu vaccination required or approved medical/religious exemption (mask required if exempt)
  • Drug screening within 30 days of start
• Orientation & Facility Documents:

  • Confidentiality Agreement
  • Code of Conduct Acknowledgement
  • Agency Nurse Orientation Quiz (minimum 84% score)
• References: Two professional references within last 3 years
• Employment History: Verification of most recent employer required
• Skills Checklist: Required

Notes

• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training may be required if contract is extended or based on unit assignment.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required if assigned to Emergency Department or ICU (only if on assignment past 1 year).
• Candidates must comply with all facility-specific policies and testing requirements prior to start.
