Job Opportunity: Telemetry Registered Nurse
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Nights
- Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours)
- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period
- Floating: Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
- Block Schedule: Not accommodated
- Local Radius Rule: 75 miles (locals not accepted)
- Pending License: Accepted
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: 7 days
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Registered Nurse)
- First-timers: Accepted (no prior travel experience required)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required
Certifications Required
- Required:
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- Preferred:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) or MAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior) if applicable
Special Skills / Requirements
- Telemetry skills including reading rhythms
- Knowledge of cardiac medications and drips (no titration)
Licensing
- Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Missouri
- Missouri licenses must be verified through NURSYS
- Pending licenses accepted
Compliance & Background Checks
- Criminal background check within 6 months required (7-year search including statewide and nationwide checks)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required quarterly
- Education verification of highest nursing degree required before start
- Fingerprinting required for assignments in Illinois long-term care or rehab units (not applicable here)
- State-specific searches and abuse registry checks as applicable
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask testing (N95) required and must be renewed annually
- Tdap vaccine or declination required (expires every 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year of start (two negative PPDs or equivalent)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination required (with exceptions for certain units)
- Drug testing within 1 year of start, must include specific panels and be valid throughout assignment
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season

This position offers a structured telemetry night shift with a focus on cardiac care in an acute care setting. It is suitable for RNs with at least 2 years of experience in telemetry nursing, who are comfortable with weekend shifts and floating within their scope. First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply.
