ICU RN Nights and EOW - 36 or 48hrs

Location: Salem, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Position in a Level III Trauma Center Medical/Surgical ICU (MICU) with 20 beds.
Patient population includes adults with conditions such as Substance Abuse/Overdose, severe Psychiatric conditions, DKA, Sepsis, GI bleed, Respiratory Failure, Cardiac Arrest, Renal Failure, and Cardiogenic Shock.
Attendings and Residents are present 24/7.
Floating required to Medical/Surgical units (up to 4 or 5 patients).
Telemetry competency required (must be able to read tele strips).
Rotating shifts for day positions (7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a); night shift does not rotate.
RN to patient ratio: 1:2 or 1:1 with high acuity in ICU; 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg.
EMR system: EPIC.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of continuous Adult ICU experience, preferably in MICU.
Active Massachusetts RN license.
BLS and ACLS certifications.
Ability to float to Med/Surg units.
Telemetry competency.
