Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Stepdown, Intermediate Care, or Surgical ICU Stepdown within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Requirements & Information
- Flu vaccination required November 1 - April 1; no declinations accepted
- Must be a team player and promote a positive culture
- Dress code: All black scrubs with Mercy logo; no hoodies, jackets without logo, t-shirts, open-toed shoes, earbuds, or fake nails
- Night shift orientation occurs on day shift; availability for full orientation week required
- Physical demands include standing/walking most of the shift, bending, stooping, lifting/turning patients with assistance, and exposure to blood/body fluids
- Must meet unit-specific physical requirements including pushing, pulling, gripping up to 50 lbs, pinching up to 15 lbs, minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling
Job Summary
Provides direct patient care using the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinates care with ancillary departments to optimize patient comfort and outcomes. Maintains professional accountability and patient confidentiality. Works within Missouri Nurse Practice Act and facility standards.

Summary
This is a night shift travel RN position in a cardiac stepdown unit requiring at least 1 year of inpatient cardiac stepdown experience, current Missouri RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS certifications. The assignment is for 26 weeks with flexible guaranteed hours.
