Description

Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: New London, Connecticut
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Work Schedule

  • Night shifts (typically 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM), may vary between 8 PM - 8 AM or 9 PM - 9 AM depending on department needs
  • Call and weekend shifts required as needed
  • Floating between two hospital locations in CT and RI; candidate must obtain both state licenses (can start with whichever license is issued first)

  • Level III trauma center
  • 252 staffed beds
  • Charting system: EPIC
  • Free parking available

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in Connecticut
  • Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
  • ARRT CT certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • Experience with GE CT equipment required

Certifications & Training

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required depending on unit
  • Other certifications may be required based on unit assignment (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC) – verify with unit description
  • Competency exams including medication/pharmacology and color blindness testing required
  • Facility-specific training modules and attestations required prior to start (e.g., stroke education, CLABSI prevention, pressure injury prevention, language services, suicide risk assessment, patient transportation with oxygen, Pyxis MedStation, Baxter pump interoperability, bedside rounding, ventricular assist device awareness, blood administration, new employee orientation, 21st Century Cures Act, ED handbook, eCart training, chaperone policy)
  • Some training modules require review and signed attestation before start

Additional Notes

  • Candidate must be prepared to float between two states and maintain licensure in both
  • Night shift and weekend availability required
  • Must comply with all background checks, health screenings, and facility-specific training requirements
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position

This position is ideal for CT Technologists with ARRT CT certification and experience on GE equipment who are flexible with night shifts and multi-state licensure.
