Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

• Work schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour night shifts (1900-0730)
• Patient population: Adults & Geriatrics, including stroke patients, post cardiac catheterization care, step-down unit, and telemetry patients
• Experience with stroke care, telemetry, and post cardiac cath patients required
• Float between multiple nearby facilities as needed
• Average daily census: 16 patients
• Weekend requirement: Every third weekend
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4-6
• Charting system: EPIC (experience required)
• Unit specialties include: total joint replacement, neuro spine, general surgery, wounds, diabetic care, medical COVID, oral surgery

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in Missouri
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience with stroke care and stepdown units
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Experience with EPIC charting system

Certifications & Compliance Requirements

• ACLS (AHA only)
• BLS (AHA only)
• NIH Stroke Certification (must be updated annually unless otherwise noted)
• Background checks including criminal, state-specific, and federal screenings (updated regularly)
• Education verification of highest nursing degree
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Drug testing within 1 year of start, must remain valid throughout assignment
• Fit mask testing (N95) with annual renewal
• Immunizations and/or titers for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required every 10 years)
  • TB screening (2 negative PPDs or equivalent within 1 year)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (positive titer, vaccination, or medical exemption)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• Compliance with facility-specific policies including hand hygiene, dress code, and confidentiality
• Completion of orientation modules and facility-required training prior to start

Summary

This is a 13-week travel contract for a Registered Nurse with telemetry experience in Saint Peters, Missouri.
