Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Saint Louis, Missouri

Job Summary

Seeking experienced Registered Nurses for a travel/contract position in Saint Louis, Missouri. Nurses will float across multiple units including Medical-Surgical, Trauma, Oncology, Heart and Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID care. Some floors require primary nursing responsibilities. This role requires strong, independent nurses able to adapt to a large campus environment.

Contract Length

  • 8 weeks

Work Schedule

  • 36 hours guaranteed over 13 weeks with the ability to be called off for up to three shifts
  • Every other weekend required
  • Float to different units as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Missouri
  • Med Surg / Telemetry experience with a minimum of 2 years
  • Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • IV start skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as Chemo, CCRN, NIH Stroke, ONS, TNCC, CPI
  • Triage and Telemetry skills preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Must complete a skills checklist or equivalent competency verification
  • Background checks and verifications required within one year
  • Drug testing within one year, updated annually
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
  • COVID-19 vaccination required or approved exemption with appropriate documentation
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for clearance during flu season
  • Photo ID required for badge issuance
  • Compliance with dress code and fingernail policies

Notes

  • Locals allowed to apply
  • Nurses may be floated to other approved locations if not needed at the primary site
  • Physical exam generally not required unless specified by client
  • Mask fit testing preferred but can be completed onsite if needed

This position is ideal for experienced travel nurses comfortable with floating across multiple specialties in a fast-paced hospital environment.
