Job Overview

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical)
• Start Date: Approximately 3-4 weeks from compliance completion; biweekly start dates available

• Floating: Yes, within scope to surgical, telemetry units, and Progress West as needed
• Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
• Local Candidates: Not accepted within 75-mile radius
• Pending License: Accepted
• Guaranteed Hours: Yes, minimum 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Time Off Restrictions: No more than 7 days of time off per 13-week contract

Unit & Patient Population

• General medical and surgical patients
• Short Term Acute Care facility with 110 staffed beds

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri (pending licenses accepted)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• Experience administering chemotherapy
• Charge Nurse experience

Skills & Preferences

• Preferred skills: Chemotherapy administration, Charge Nurse experience

Scheduling & Work Environment

• Ratio: 1 nurse to 5-6 patients
• Floating to other units as needed
• Weekend and holiday rotations required
• Free parking available
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrub color: Light gray/silver

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued ID required
• Criminal background check within 6 months, including statewide and national searches
• Education verification of highest nursing degree
• Drug testing within 1 year, including specific panels
• Physical exam within 1 year
• Immunizations and titers: TB, Tdap, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Flu vaccine or exemption
• Fit mask testing annually (N95)
• Various facility-specific documents including HIPAA acknowledgement, confidentiality, hand hygiene, dress code, and float attestation
• Competency exams and skills checklists as required by unit
• References: Two professional references required (supervisors preferred)

• Candidates must adhere to facility policies including fingernail, dress code, and hand hygiene policies
• Must be willing to float within scope to other units as needed
• Time-sensitive compliance documents and training modules must be completed prior to start
• No block scheduling available
• Locals within 75 miles are not accepted for this travel position
