Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Telemetry/Step-Down

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Position: Registered Nurse in Telemetry/Step-Down unit
  • Start Date: Approximately 3-4 weeks from compliance clearance
  • Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 4-5 patients
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • On-call: Not required
  • Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs
  • Block Schedule: Not accommodated
  • Local Candidates: Not accepted (75-mile radius rule)
  • Pending License: Accepted
  • Guaranteed Hours: Yes
  • Special Requirements:
    • Telemetry/Step-Down experience required
    • Experience with EKG and cardiac drips

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri (pending licenses accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
  • Step-Down experience
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Scheduling & Workload

  • Weekend shifts required every other weekend
  • No on-call duties
  • Floating within scope to meet unit needs
  • No block scheduling accommodation

Additional Notes

  • No prior travel experience explicitly required
  • Pending licenses accepted for Missouri RN
  • Must adhere to facility policies including dress code, hand hygiene, and other compliance documents
  • Orientation and mandatory training modules required prior to start
  • References: Two professional references required; supervisors preferred if within last year
