Registered Nurse - MS/Tele Float

Location: Saint Joseph, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift Details

• 3x12 hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:30)
• Open to 3x12s or 4x12s

Experience & Education

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• BSN preferred

Required Licenses & Certifications

• RN State License and/or Compact State Licensure (pending license accepted but must be in hand prior to start)
• BCLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required for Emergency Department prior to start; ICU requires if assignment extends past 1 year
• NIH Stroke Certification (annual requirement for specific units)
• Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (required for acute hospital RNs)
• IV Certification (required for LPNs, if applicable)

Required Qualifications & Compliance

• Background checks including national criminal, state, county, SSN trace, sex offender, and federal exclusions
• Education verification with official transcript or diploma
• Primary source verification of certifications and licenses within 30 days of start
• Drug screen within 30 days of start (not required annually)
• Physical exam within last 12 months
• Fit testing completed onsite
• Immunizations/vaccinations required:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines, positive titer, or declination
  • Hepatitis B - vaccination series, titer, or declination
  • Varicella - 2 vaccines, positive titer, or declination
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine required annually (declinations not accepted; medical/religious exemptions require mask)
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year, updated annually; additional requirements if positive TB history

Additional Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific orientation and safety acknowledgements
• Pass/fail testing including basic dysrhythmia exam with minimum 84% score (2 attempts allowed; ICU only 1 attempt)
• Medication/pharmacology competency exams as applicable
• Professional references (2) within 3 years of start
• Employment application and skills checklist required
• Verification of most recent employer work history
