Location: Saint Louis, Missouri

Job Description
- Position: Registered Nurse in Telemetry/Step-Down unit
- Start Date: Approximately 3-4 weeks from compliance clearance
- Patient Ratios: 1:4-5
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-call: Not required
- Floating: Yes, within scope to meet unit needs
- Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
- Local candidates accepted: No (75 mile radius restriction)
- Pending License Accepted: Yes
- Maximum Return to Office (RTO) days: No more than 7 days per 13-week contract
- Guaranteed Hours: Yes
Special Requirements:
- Experience in telemetry/step-down nursing required
- Experience with EKG and cardiac drips
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri (pending licenses accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
- Step-down nursing experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Scheduling & Work Environment
- Ratios: 1 nurse to 4-5 patients
- Weekend shifts required every other weekend
- Floating within scope to other units as needed
- No block scheduling available
- Parking available with monthly passes (fees apply; free parking for straight night shifts)
Compliance & Onboarding Requirements
- Government-issued ID required
- Criminal background check within 6 months (including statewide and nationwide searches)
- Education verification of highest nursing degree
- Fingerprinting required for certain assignments (especially in Illinois long-term care or rehab units)
- Drug testing within 1 year, must include standard panels
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask test (N95) required and must be renewed annually
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframe
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
- Annual HIPAA acknowledgement and compliance training
- Adherence to facility policies including dress code, hand hygiene, and fingernail policy
- Completion of orientation modules (approximately 16 hours) through online platform
- Badge photo and facility badge required
Competency & Certification Exams
- Unit-specific competency exams required annually
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required within 1 year of start and updated annually
- Additional certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., Trauma Nursing Core Course, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation)

- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
