Registered Nurse (RN) Infusion - Days
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule: 36-hour shifts, Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM), every other week (EOW), every other holiday (EOH)
- Specialty: Oncology Infusion
- Required Experience:
- Minimum 2 years oncology infusion experience in an academic medical center (AMC)
- Minimum 1 year outpatient experience
- Minimum 1 year prior travel experience required
- Skills:
- Strong IV and patient assessment skills
- Experience with complex gastrointestinal (GI) regimens
- Certification: Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 3 years of infusion nursing experience, including infusion experience within the last year
- Oncology nursing experience
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient setting experience
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Additional Information
- Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity is strongly preferred
- Tdap vaccination within 10 years preferred
- Positive TB test requires negative chest X-ray documentation
- Background checks include national sex offender registry, exclusion lists, and state CORI checks
- Name change documentation required if legal name differs from credential documentation
Summary
This is a long-term infusion RN position requiring oncology infusion experience in an academic medical center setting, outpatient experience, and prior travel nursing experience. The role involves day shifts with a focus on complex GI regimens and strong IV skills. Oncology Nursing Society certification and multiple health and background verifications are mandatory.
