Job Description

• This position combines X-Ray and CT Tech responsibilities.
• Start Date: ASAP
• Minimum Specialty Experience Required: 2 years
• First-time travelers are accepted.
• Work settings include Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, and Emergency Department.
• Patient population primarily includes Emergency Department and Inpatients, with some outpatient exams.
• Common procedures:

  • Basic X-ray exams: Chest, Abdomen, Extremities
  • CT exams: Routine Head, Chest, Abdomen/Pelvis, CTA Head/Carotid, PE studies
• General skills required: Portable X-ray experience
• Preferred work setting experience: Community Hospital

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in New York
• ARRT certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with adult patients in Acute Care, Outpatient, and Emergency Department settings
• X-Ray Technician experience

Additional Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required.
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and education verification.
• Various health and safety documents and training must be completed prior to or shortly after start date, including but not limited to:

  • Physical exam (within 1 year)
  • Fit mask test (annual)
  • Immunizations and titers: Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, TB test or chest X-ray, Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Drug testing within 30 days of start
  • Flu vaccination or signed declination during flu season
  • Eye exam (Snellen) within 1 year of contract start
• Required competencies and exams as per profession/specialty.
• Various facility-specific documents and training modules must be reviewed and acknowledged.

Notes

• Return-to-Office (RTO) parameters require manager approval.
• Candidate must complete health-related requirements and lab work within 5 days of signing the contract if booked within 30 days of start.
• Strict adherence to expiration dates on health documents is required; documents expiring during the contract must be renewed prior to expiration to avoid removal from assignment.

This role is suitable for Radiology professionals with CT and X-Ray experience looking for a travel contract in New York with a 13-week commitment.
