Registered Nurse - Med Surg/Pediatrics (Travel)

Unit Information

  • Level III Unit
  • Patient population primarily adults with some pediatrics
  • Focus on individualized nursing care for adult/geriatric patients
  • The unit practices according to standards of nursing for adult/geriatric patients

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Missouri
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience, with experience within the last year
  • Pediatric Med Surg nursing experience

Skills & Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care
  • Utilize theoretical nursing concepts in clinical decision-making
  • Provide care consistent with standards of nursing practice

Dress Code

  • Scrub Color: Black

Additional Information

  • The facility is a Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke and STEMI Center
  • The hospital is recognized for quality and safety, including top ratings and awards in patient care and safety
