Location: Saint Louis, Missouri

Job Details

  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours)
  • Weekend Requirement: 2 shifts every other weekend
    • Day shift weekends: Saturday and Sunday every other weekend
    • Night shift weekends (if applicable): Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on rotation
  • On-call: Not required
  • Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
  • Block Schedule: Not accommodated
  • Locals Accepted: No (local radius rule: 75 miles)
  • Pending License Accepted: Yes
  • Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty
  • First-time Travelers: Accepted
  • Special Requirements: EPIC charting experience required

Required Certifications

  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Certification (annual update required)
  • Fire Safety Certification
  • Oncology Competency Exam (unit-specific, annual)
  • Additional certifications may be required based on unit specifics (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) — verify with unit requirements

Licensure

  • Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Missouri (pending licenses accepted)
  • Primary source verification required (NURSYS for Missouri)

Compliance & Background Checks

  • Criminal background check within 6 months (7-year search including statewide and nationwide)
  • Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
  • Education verification of highest nursing degree required
  • State-specific searches and registries as applicable
  • Fingerprinting required for certain Illinois long-term care or rehab assignments (not applicable here)

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Fit mask testing (N95) required and must be renewed annually
  • Tdap vaccine or declination (Td acceptable for renewals)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year (two-step PPD or equivalent)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination as per unit policy
  • Drug screening within 1 year, must include specific panels and be valid throughout assignment
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season

Additional Requirements

  • Two professional references required (supervisors preferred)
  • Employment application and unit-specific skills checklist (including oncology skills) required within 1 year
  • Completion of facility-specific orientation modules (approx. 16 hours) through online platform prior to start
  • Various facility-specific documents and acknowledgements (e.g., HIPAA, confidentiality, hand hygiene, dress code) must be completed and signed prior to start

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri (pending licenses accepted)
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience, with telemetry experience within the last year
  • Oncology nursing experience
  • Successful completion of the Oncology Competency Exam (unit-specific, annual)
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health record system

  • Acute Care Hospital setting
  • Total staffed beds: 233
  • Charting system: EPIC (experience required)
  • Scrub color: Navy
