Description

Registered Nurse (MS/Tele) - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Nights (4 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Float pool position covering various acute care nursing areas including:
    • Medsurg and Telemetry units
    • Geriatric/Palliative Care
    • Orthopedics & Trauma
    • Medicine, Surgical, Neurology, Epilepsy, Stroke
    • Acute Cardiology, Neurosurgery, Vascular
    • Hematology/Oncology, Solid Organ Transplant
    • Thoracic Cardiovascular, Digestive Health
    • Acute Care Special Pathogens Unit (COVID)
    • Emergency Department Boarders (admitted patients boarding in ED)
  • Does not include ICU or Intermediate Care Units (separate float pools for those)
  • Scheduling: 36 or 48 hours shifts available; block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
  • Work schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday
  • Up to 40 hours off can be approved for time off
  • Must adhere to float policy of the facility
  • Epic electronic health record experience required

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
  • Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience, with telemetry experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system
