Description

Travel Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (MS/Telemetry)

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: Yes
Patient Ratio: 1:6

Job Description

Acute medicine unit caring for patients with diabetes, renal issues, COPD, abdominal rule outs, and cancer patients not currently receiving chemotherapy.
No surgical patients on this unit.
Floating within scope of practice to meet facility needs is required.
Weekend shifts required every other weekend.
Local candidates not accepted; home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility.
Pending license accepted.
No on-call requirement.
Block scheduling is not accommodated.
Must pass Relias EKG exam; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required.
Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience preferred.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri (pending license accepted).
Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience, with experience within the last year.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
