Case Manager Travel/Contract Position
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- Shift Hours: Either 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, based on unit needs
- Units Covered: All units except Psychiatry and Women & Infants
- Average Daily Census: 1000+ hospital beds
- Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Magnet & Teaching Hospital, Level I Trauma Center
- Charting System: EPIC (experience preferred)
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of case management experience in a facility with 1000+ beds
- Candidates with experience in facilities with 200+ beds may be considered
- Academic experience preferred
- First-time travelers not accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
- Minimum of 2 years of case management experience, including acute hospital case management
- Case management experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - Required except for Case Manager, Behavioral Health, and Outpatient units
- Other certifications (PALS, NRP, TNCC, CPI, MAB, NIH Stroke, EFM) may be required depending on unit assignment; check unit-specific requirements
- Medication and competency exams as applicable, including Dysrhythmia/EKG competency for certain specialties
Compliance and Facility Requirements
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules via online platform (approx. 16 hours) required before start
- Annual HIPAA acknowledgement, confidentiality form, latex allergy questionnaire, hand hygiene, fingernail, and dress code policies must be reviewed and signed
- Background and state-specific registry checks must be current and renewed as required
- Vehicle registration form required for day shift workers
- Badge photo required (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions, taken within 6 months)
- TB questionnaire required annually in lieu of TB test renewal
- Hepatitis B declination form required annually (vaccination not mandatory)
Additional Notes
- Parking: Monthly parking passes available; fees vary by lot and shift schedule
- Night shift workers have free parking in employee lots
- Day/night rotation workers must obtain a parking pass with associated fees
- Facility does not validate or reimburse parking fees
- Candidates must wear scrubs during orientation and shifts
This position is ideal for experienced case managers with a strong background in large acute care settings who are ready for a 12-week travel assignment in a high-acuity hospital environment.
