Shift Details
- Night shift, 3 shifts per week
- 12 hours per shift (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
- Total 36 hours per week

Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology / Cardiology specialty
- Experience with GE CT Scanner is required
- Float experience in X-Ray required
- Unit accepts first-time travelers (prior travel experience not required)
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - American Heart Association (AHA)
Required Skills and Competencies
- Adult Acute Care and Adult Outpatient imaging
- Emergency Department imaging
- Proficiency with GE imaging equipment
- Imaging expertise in:
- Abdomen (with/without contrast)
- Pelvis (with/without contrast)
- Chest (with/without contrast)
- Vascular chest (e.g., pulmonary embolism, CTA, aorta)
- Carotid arteries
- Head (with/without contrast)
- Sinuses
- Soft tissue neck
- Trauma head
- Cervical, Lumbar, Thoracic spine imaging
- Musculoskeletal trauma
- Advanced imaging techniques:
- 3D rendering (Maximum intensity projection, Surface shaded displays, Volume rendering)
- Multiplanar reconstruction (MPR)
- Preparation and administration of contrast media
- Radiation safety knowledge

Required Documentation and Compliance
- Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Emergency Contact Form (prior to start)
- Background checks including:
- Social Security Trace, County, Nationwide, Sex Offender, EDV (within last 7 years)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM (annual)
- HHS/OIG (annual)
- Education Verification (transcript or diploma)
- Illinois Adult Abuse Registry Search (required, can pend at start)
- Employment application with resume
- 7 years of work history verification (attestations allowed after 3 attempts)
- 2 professional references within 2 years
- Skills checklist (annual)
- Facility-specific job description acknowledgment prior to start
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask testing within 12 months (specific approved masks)
- Immunizations and titers as applicable:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year)
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella proof of immunity or vaccination (for travelers born 1957 or later)
- Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
- Varicella (titer, vaccination, or history of chickenpox)
- 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start
- COVID-19 exemptions allowed (medical and religious, with appropriate documentation)
- Flu vaccination strongly recommended but not required
Testing and Competency Exams
- Medication and pharmacology competency exam (minimum 80% or Angoff score)
- Pass/fail testing on medication and glucose meter during orientation (for RNs; note this is a CT Tech role, so may not apply)
This position is ideal for CT Technologists with solid experience on GE CT scanners, comfortable working night shifts, and able to float to X-Ray as needed. The role involves imaging a broad patient age range and requires multiple certifications and compliance with health and background screening protocols.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Illinois
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
- Experience with GE Healthcare imaging equipment
- X-Ray Technician experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) certification
