Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Telemetry/Step-Down
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide nursing care in Telemetry/Step-Down unit with experience in EKG and cardiac drips.
- Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:4-5.
- Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM).
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
- Floating within scope of practice may be required.
- Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are not accepted.
- Pending Missouri nursing license accepted.
- Guaranteed hours for the duration of the contract.
- Block scheduling is not accommodated.
- No on-call requirement.
- Return to office (RTO) restrictions: No more than 7 days off per 13-week contract.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri (pending licenses accepted).
- Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
- Telemetry experience required.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Facility & Work Environment
- Short Term Acute Care facility, Magnet & Teaching Hospital, Level I Trauma Center.
- Total staffed beds: 1,266.
- Charting system: EPIC.
- Scrub color: Navy Blue.
- Parking available with monthly passes; night shift parking is free in employee lots.
Additional Notes
- Candidates must provide a recent badge photo (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions, taken within 6 months).
- Candidates must comply with all state-specific background and registry checks as required.
- Fingerprinting required for assignments in Illinois long-term care or rehab units (not applicable here).
- Candidates must adhere to all facility policies and complete all required documentation prior to start.
This position is ideal for experienced RNs with telemetry and step-down unit expertise seeking a travel contract in Missouri with a reputable acute care hospital.
