Registered Nurse - PCU (Night Shift)
Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Shift: Nights (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours (option to request 48 hours)
- Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 4-5 patients
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required to float within scope to like units as needed
- Travel pairs: Not accepted
- Local candidates: Not accepted (50-mile radius restriction)
- Return Staff Policy: Must be off assignment for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Contract Limit: Maximum of 2 contracts (one extension allowed), then must be off for 6 months before returning
- Guaranteed Hours: Call-off policy allows 2 shift call-offs per 13-week assignment; after that, contracted hours are guaranteed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- PCU experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- EKG competency
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Requirements
- Must provide a professional, passport-style photo for badge issuance (no large earrings, face jewelry, unnatural hair colors, or head coverings unless for religious reasons)
- Must complete and sign facility-specific documents prior to start, including but not limited to:

- Confidentiality and Information Agreement
- Patient Identification Agreement
- Conflict of Interest Questionnaire
- Staff Call Out Acknowledgement
- Corporate Code of Conduct Acknowledgement
- Policy Tech Access Acknowledgement
- Professional Appearance Acknowledgment
- Emergency Contact Form
- Parking Registration (if driving)
- Computer Use Acknowledgement
- Must complete facility orientation and required modules prior to start (modules due the Monday before start)
- Must comply with facility’s Return to Office (RTO) restrictions as per manager discretion
