Registered Nurse - PCU (Night Shift)

Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Shift: Nights (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours (option to request 48 hours)
• Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 4-5 patients
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required to float within scope to like units as needed
• Travel pairs: Not accepted
• Local candidates: Not accepted (50-mile radius restriction)
• Return Staff Policy: Must be off assignment for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Contract Limit: Maximum of 2 contracts (one extension allowed), then must be off for 6 months before returning
• Guaranteed Hours: Call-off policy allows 2 shift call-offs per 13-week assignment; after that, contracted hours are guaranteed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• PCU experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• EKG competency
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Requirements

• Must provide a professional, passport-style photo for badge issuance (no large earrings, face jewelry, unnatural hair colors, or head coverings unless for religious reasons)
• Must complete and sign facility-specific documents prior to start, including but not limited to:

  • Staff Call Out Acknowledgement
  • Corporate Code of Conduct Acknowledgement

  • Computer Use Acknowledgement
• Must complete facility orientation and required modules prior to start (modules due the Monday before start)
• Must comply with facility’s Return to Office (RTO) restrictions as per manager discretion
