ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Contract

Location: Kealakekua, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour day or night shifts (72 hours every two weeks)

Job Description

• Work in a 9-bed Adult ICU with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, or 1:1 when indicated.
• May care for stable pediatric patients occasionally; unstable pediatric patients are transferred to higher-level care.
• Potential for Med/Surg overflow with ratios up to 1:3 or 1:4.
• Minimum of three nurses per shift.
• May float to other departments to assist without taking a patient team.
• Charge nurse duties may be assigned with additional compensation.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Experience working with pediatric patients

• Prior travel experience is required.
