Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract
Location: Weston, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Cath Lab Technician with experience in Cardiac Catheterization. This is a travel/contract position requiring call coverage and flexibility to float within scope to multiple nearby facilities.
Schedule
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week
- Call is required
- Weekend requirements can be discussed with the manager
- Block scheduling is not accommodated
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Florida
- Minimum 1.5 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
- Recent Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Certifications & Licenses
- Certified or Registered Cardiovascular Technician (RCVT) preferred
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) also preferred
- State license not required for this position
- National certification preferred but not mandatory
Additional Requirements
- Must be nicotine-free (smoke-free facility) with negative 10-panel drug screen including nicotine (cotinine) test
- Must complete time-sensitive online training modules prior to start (high priority, no delays)
- Must be able to float to three sister hospitals within a 20-mile radius
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront with application
- Must carry government-issued photo ID during working hours
Health & Compliance Requirements
- Physical exam within 6 months of start date
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
- Required immunizations or titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Seasonal influenza vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (no Florida Medical Marijuana card accepted)
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start
Onboarding & Documentation
- Must provide proof of I9, E-Verify, and government-issued photo ID
- Must complete required background checks and fingerprinting (AHCA Level II) before start
- Must submit 2 professional references within 2 years of start date
- Required to complete facility-specific online modules and orientation prior to start
- Must acknowledge and comply with facility privacy policies and safety manuals

- Candidate must be aware of and prioritize completion of required training modules promptly once assigned
