Description
MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day)
- Work setting: Adult Outpatient
- Equipment: Siemens MRI equipment, PACS
- Facility type: Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital
- Charting system: Cerner
- Scrubs: Not provided; any color allowed
- Parking: Available (cost applies)
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist with a minimum of 4 years of experience
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year
- At least one completed travel assignment as an MRI Technologist
- Certifications:
- ARMRIT or ARRT MR
- BLS
- IV certification and IV skills required
- Experience working in an outpatient setting
Compliance & Background Requirements
- Criminal background check within 90 days, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- Education verification of highest degree required by position
- Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
- I9/E-Verify attestation required
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks prior to start and monthly thereafter
- Annual physical exam confirming ability to perform work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, with annual TB questionnaire
- Documentation of immunity or vaccination for:
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
- Varicella (2 VZV vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B (titer, series, or signed declination)
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
- N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start and updated annually (client may complete onsite if needed)
Additional Requirements
- Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
- Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information
- Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually
- Photo for badge with specific requirements (clear, centered, no glare, solid background)
- Completion of facility-specific modules (SITELS) prior to start date
Notes
- A valid driver’s license is required if driving on behalf of the employer is an essential job function
- Annual orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
- Certification verification required based on profession and state
- Facility requires strict adherence to vaccination and health screening policies
This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced MRI technology in a teaching hospital environment with a defined day shift schedule and a 13-week travel contract.
