Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Shift Details

• Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Every third weekend required

Unit and Patient Population

• Telemetry unit with stroke care focus
• Patient types include adults and geriatrics with conditions such as:

  • Stroke and neuro spine cases
  • Post cardiac catheterization care
  • Step-down or telemetry care for stroke patients
  • Total joint replacement, general surgery, wounds, diabetic care, medical COVID, oral surgery

Patient Load and Staffing

• Average daily census: 16 patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4-6
• Required to float between two nearby facilities as needed

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in Missouri
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Experience with post-cardiac catheterization (post-cath) care
• Stroke care experience
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record system
