Description
Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Night shifts, 3 shifts per week (Saturday, Sunday, Monday)
- Hours: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (36 hours/week)
- Caseload: Approximately 150 studies per day
- Work Environment:
- 2 CT rooms
- Emergency, inpatient, and outpatient studies including neuro, cardiac, contrast studies, and high volume workflow
- Orientation: Every Monday
- Dress Code: Scrubs not provided; color required is wine top and black bottoms
- Documentation System: Cerner
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Maryland
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one prior travel assignment
- ARRT Radiologic Technologist (R) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with Cerner documentation system
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
- Experience with neonates and infants
- Experience in adult ICU settings
Health and Compliance Requirements
- Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; if history of TB, additional documentation required
- Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
- Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Sept–March)
- N95 fit test within 9 months of start, updated annually (client may complete on-site if needed)
- Documentation of immunity or vaccination for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (titer, series, or signed declination)
- Background check within 90 days including criminal, education verification, and other required searches
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks prior to and during employment
Additional Requirements
- Completion of facility-specific modules (SITELS) prior to start date
- Annual competency exams including medication/pharmacology and general competency tests
- Color blindness testing (online or in-person)
- Documentation and verification of all required licenses and certifications prior to start
- Photo for badge meeting specific criteria (clear, centered, no glare, solid background)
Special Procedures/Unit Details
- Work includes neuro and cardiac CT studies, contrast studies, and high volume emergency and inpatient/outpatient imaging
This position is ideal for a CT Technologist with solid experience, prior travel assignment completion, and the ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
