Description
Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Milwaukie, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Evening (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM), 5 days per week
Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day)
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

- Scrub color: Any color allowed except specific units (OR, Critical Care, ED, Maternal Child) where scrubs are provided
Job Details
- Position does not float between units
- No on-call required
- No weekend shifts required
- Expected patient ratio: 1:1
- 48-hour shifts are not approved
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Oregon
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
Compliance & Background Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (as applicable for I9 verification)
- E-Verify attestation required
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated monthly
- Education verification required for all candidates
- State-specific searches and registry checks as applicable (Oregon and Washington)
- References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment with explanations for gaps or overlaps
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Fit mask testing required for travel candidates (updated annually)
- Immunizations and documentation required:
- TDAP (within 10 years; declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (updated annually)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer with acceptable alternatives
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer with acceptable alternatives
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (does not require annual update)
Training & Competency
- Completion of Providence annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Epic system training modules required prior to or shortly after orientation
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable
- Color blindness testing may be required on a unit basis
Additional Notes
- Float policy acknowledgment required; traveler may be required to float to other nearby facilities
- Radiation badge issued by facility if applicable
- WA multi-state licensed nurses must complete demographic attestation prior to start (not applicable for this Oregon position unless working in WA)
- Physical and health document requirements differ for onsite vs. remote/non-patient facing roles (this is an onsite role)
This position offers a stable 13-week travel contract with evening shifts in a short-term acute care setting, utilizing Epic for charting, with no weekend or on-call requirements. The role requires standard licensure and certifications for CT Techs, comprehensive background and health compliance, and completion of required training modules.
