Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU/PCU - Day Shift
Location: Clarkston, Washington

Job Description
- Provide nursing care in ICU and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital (CAH).
- Must be experienced in all ICU/PCU areas and willing to float to the Medical-Surgical Unit (MSU) as needed.
- Identify patient and significant others' education needs and provide appropriate education.
- Ensure patient safety through preventative measures (e.g., side rails, restraints, safe equipment use) and follow restraint policies correctly.
- Demonstrate knowledge of safe operation and troubleshooting of equipment in PCU, Telemetry, and Med-Surg areas.
- Implement infection control and isolation procedures using proper documentation and standard precautions.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and concise documentation of patient status, nursing interventions, and patient responses.
- Accurately document charge and complete physician orders timely, including 24-hour order checks if within shift duties.
- Provide thorough change-of-shift reports to oncoming staff.
- Communicate effectively with other departments and report critical lab values to physicians promptly.
- Maintain and restock emergency carts, patient rooms, and general supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience.
- Experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
- Experience in Telemetry.
- Experience in Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

- Prior travel experience is not required.
