Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Location: Knoxville, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Unit: Labor & Delivery
  • Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 19:00 - 7:30)
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Nurse-Patient Ratio: 1:2
  • On-Call: 36 hours every 6 weeks
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (2 weekends per month)
  • Float Requirement: Yes
  • Holiday Time Off: Requests for time off during specified holidays will not be accommodated (includes major holidays and local breaks). Holiday time off may be discussed onsite after arrival.

Required Certifications

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC
  • AWHONN (for Labor & Delivery)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC
  • NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Certifications must be current, actual certificates uploaded (no screenshots/photos), and not expire within 45 days of assignment start.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
  • Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, with recent experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current AWHONN certification for Labor & Delivery
  • Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current NIHSS certification
  • Current NRP certification
