Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry
Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide comprehensive patient care across multiple medical-surgical units, including step down and emergency department med surg holds.
- Float between 9 medical-surgical units and 5 step down units.
- Function independently with strong clinical judgment.
- Adhere to hospital policies and safety standards.
- Orientation at main campus on start date; additional short orientation at Women and Families unit.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1:4 on standard Med Surg units (may vary by acuity and staffing).
Schedule Requirements
- Every other weekend required.
- No holiday shifts for agency staff.
- Night shift.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
- Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience with a minimum of 2 years, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Additional Information
- Must be comfortable floating between multiple units.
- Compliance with attendance, documentation, and medication safety protocols is mandatory.
