Registered Nurse (CVICU) - Travel Position
Location: Albany, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse with Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) experience to provide care for high acuity postoperative cardiac and vascular surgery patients in the ICU.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- Minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience, including experience within the last year
- One completed travel nursing assignment
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system
Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in care of immediate postoperative cardiac and vascular surgery patients.
- Experience with advanced hemodynamic monitoring including arterial lines, spinal drains, ECG interpretation, and temporary pacemakers.
- Skilled in ventilator management and vasoactive/inotropic drip titration.
- Ability to manage high acuity patients requiring intensive monitoring.
Work Details
- Typical workweek: 36 hours.
- Navy blue scrubs required as dress code.
Additional Notes
- Local candidates from certain ineligible counties will not be considered.
- Floating to other units may be required (details not specified).
